GENERAL
DESCRIPTION:
Support the design and localization of a product in cooperation with
an International design team. Research, develop and design components,
equipment and systems.
(options and modifications for new and current products)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
& RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the implementation of a new product
release and maintain product during its
lifecycle.
Prepare all required engineering documents and releases for SOP (start of production)
Create Bill of Material, Engineering Change Notices, drawings, etc.
Communicate with Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Quality and
Production personnel
Design modifications and special applications for current products
Understand customer requirements and convert into technical options,
offering customer
solutions to application problems
Ability to effectively communicate through all levels of the
organization
Ensure product costs are met and project timelines maintained
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum two years experience developing mechanical, structural and hydraulic systems
for mobile equipment preferred
Experience designing with 3D-CAD, preferably UG
Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics
Knowledge and understanding of weld symbols and process
Basic understanding of machine shop practices
Ability to comprehend and follow standards & procedures
Knowledge of SAE, ANSI, ASME, ISO, UL standards a plus
Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
Experience using and maintaining Bills of Materials, ERP, within
a MRP system, SAP
knowledge a plus
Experience in project management a plus
German language skills a plus
